pictures are more impressive

Sometimes, we post photos to show or prove to others that we have full, exciting lives. But there's so much more to life than what can be captured by a camera lens. I don't think I'm alone when I say that there is so much that happens outside of what we post. Especially in this graduation season, internalizing this has changed my interactions with people and how I even treat myself. Releasing the pressure of perfectionism has been one of the most relieving and restorative experiences. The only perfection worth striving for is striving after the perfect example of our heavenly Father. When identity is a struggle, I work to rest my identity in Him. When that's my only goal, how can I not be completely content - with my present, with my future?
